Melissa Gergess

I am a lisenced clinical psychologist with experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults across the humanitarian sector, school settings, and private practice.

I work under clinical supervision and provide psychological support for emotional, behavioral, and relational difficulties. I focus on emotional regulation, coping strategies, and psychological insight, supporting children, adolescents, and young adults through life transitions, trauma, grief, and crisis situations.

I also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, speech therapists, psychomotor therapists, and other professionals, while adhering to ethical guidelines and professional standards.

I have over four years of experience in the humanitarian sector, working with vulnerable populations and providing psychosocial support in complex contexts, including two years with the Lifeline Suicide Prevention in Lebanon, providing crisis support, psychological support, and safety planning.

In school settings, I conducted individual psychological follow-ups, provided parental guidance, assessed suicide risk, implemented safety plans, and facilitated mental health awareness and psychoeducational sessions for children and adolescents.

Additionally, I facilitated mental health awareness sessions for young adults outside the school setting.

I also have one year of experience in private practice, providing individual sessions within a safe and confidential framework.

My work focuses on creating a healthy and secure environment that supports the psychological well-being and development of children, adolescents and Young Adults.
