I am Georges Abi Khalil, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Licensed CBT Psychotherapist accredited by the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), and a member of the Lebanese Order of Psychologists (LOPsy). I hold a Professional Master's degree in Clinical-Adjustment (Applied) Psychology from the Lebanese University, along with a University Diploma in the Development and Organization of Mental Health Services, delivered by Saint Joseph University (USJ) in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the National Mental Health Program (NMHP) of the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH).
My professional training spans a range of evidence-based approaches, and I draw on each according to what a client needs. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change the unhelpful thought and behavior patterns that maintain distress; Schema Therapy to reach the deeper, long-standing core beliefs and emotional patterns that often take root early in life; and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help process and resolve traumatic memories. I also integrate Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) to address difficulties in relationships and life transitions, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to support behavioral change and skill-building, and Clinical Hypnotherapy to deepen relaxation and access helpful change at a subconscious level. I am committed to continuous learning and ongoing clinical supervision in order to keep strengthening the quality of care I provide.
Over the past several years, I have worked across humanitarian emergency response, psychiatric hospital, and private practice settings, providing individual psychotherapy, counseling, and psychological assessment for adults. Alongside my clinical work, I serve as a mental health supervisor where I suppervise and mentore psychologists in humanitaring settings and a certified national trainer from the ministry of public health, roles that keep me closely engaged with best practices in the field.
My aim is to offer a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where each person can work toward meaningful change and improved wellbeing.
